After the Success of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, IberCup Arrives in Salvador to Transform Youth Football in Brazil's Northeast
After bringing together thousands of young athletes, families, and football enthusiasts in two historic editions in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, IberCup Brazil is ready to begin a new chapter in its journey. From September 2 to 7, 2026, Salvador will host, for the first time, the world's largest youth football tournament.
IberCup's arrival in the capital of Bahia represents much more than the launch of a new competition. It marks the beginning of a new era for youth football in Brazil's Northeast. With world-class infrastructure, internationally recognized organization, and teams from different Brazilian states and countries, the tournament is set to raise the standard of youth football in the region while delivering an unforgettable experience for players, coaches, and families.
Beyond the matches on the field, participants will enjoy days filled with cultural exchange, learning, athletic development, and memories that will last a lifetime. This unique experience is what has made IberCup an international benchmark and a dream for thousands of young footballers around the world.
Salvador was chosen to become part of this project thanks to its rich football tradition, passionate sporting culture, excellent infrastructure, and strategic location for welcoming teams from across Brazil and Latin America. Expectations are high that this inaugural edition will establish the city as one of the country's premier destinations for major youth sporting events.
